It’s Thanksgiving time and I don’t know if I am going to get a turkey. I have been trying for about two weeks but between butchers being closed and not sure why I need turkeys. I don’t know if it is going to happen. But I will keep trying. Definitely a slow process, but we love turkey leftovers and I am craving turkey taquitos! (giggle)
Pretty excited this week. We have family coming to visit!! Yeah! Brandi and Travis and all the kids arrive Thursday. I am warming up on the basketball court and trampoline to play with Lexi, Hunter, and Ali. I need to get caught up on sports and have all my techy questions answered by Travis. And Brandi we get to go on a “Diet Coke Run”!! I am ready kiddos, Grandma and Grandpa are ready to play!!
We also have been preparing for the Mission Tour with President Johnson and his wife Jill. They are great and even will be staying with the whole family at the mission home. I think they miss family too. We are trying to get every detail taken care of, and our missionaries have done an amazing job finding 1620 amis by the conference. They have been finding so many each week, I think there is a really good chance we will reach our goal. This is pretty cool because we have zones finding over 70 people a week, and before as a whole mission we were only finding about 50 to 70 people. I think they are all “Opening Their Mouth’s” and it is working. We are also getting more baptisms. There is a huge spark going across the mission. And they all feel it! President has been calling this “Harvest Time” and wanted lunch to be a turkey dinner, but that is not working, but we do have a Thanksgiving feast planned (France missionary style) and it’s a stretch. But they will be happy. I have made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins for Lyon conference, and I have a young Sister Missionary who is a professional cupcake baker, doing her thing in Toulouse! I don’t think they will be disappointed. These conferences are taking a lot of teamwork, but everyone is working together. Love our missionaries!
There is so much going on this transfer, family visit (the best), mission tour with the Johnson’s, also two Christmas conferences for missionaries, and don’t forget two stake conferences. I think we will be putting on a lot of miles on the car this transfer. But it will all be worth it. I am pretty sure I will get more grey hair these six weeks. I feel like it is coming in faster each month, but thanks to my Little cute hairstylist Marilyn and Yolanda, they are taking care of it. I can’t talk to them, they can’t talk to me, we pretty much smile, say ca va and give each other the thumbs up. But hey it’s working and no grey to be seen. (giggle) But you know I am a Grandma so it should be okay. Definitely in denial!!
I love my Family!!! So excited we get visitors this week. Also, you all better be celebrating TJ’s Birthday this weekend. He is the best and we love you! Happy Birthday TJ!! So I have few extra things to get picked up for my special visitors, be safe and happy travels, and Grandpa and Grandma will be waiting with lots of hugs and kisses for you!! See you soon!! Love saying that! (giggle)
